Artist's Description
A banyan tree dropping aerial roots from the underside of its branches to the ground in Honolua Bay, Maui. Once these roots reach the ground they thicken and grow into the ground forming new trunks.
About Anthony Jones
Early on in my life I knew I wanted to be an artist. I would sit for hours and draw, mostly using pen and colored pencils. As a young adult I became interested in scuba diving. This opened up a whole new world to me. I purchased a camera so I can take photos of my adventures with the goal of using those as reference for my artwork. I soon discovered that I really enjoyed photography and delved head first into my new medium, I haven't looked back since. I started working in a portrait studio so I can learn more about photography, 15 years later I decided I had enough of portrait and wedding photography. I wanted to create artwork that showed the world what I loved to explore, so I went into nature and wildlife photography. My work has...
